Courses for Beginners

Summer courses are now available.

Please see below for details. Please note that the last one is on Thursday evenings from 5 pm to 8 pm.

The Club has three Archery GB qualified coaches and they provide a number of training courses for beginners. Juniors are welcome from the age of 12 years upwards, but those under 18 must be accompanied by a parent, or other responsible adult.

We charge £60 for a course of three lessons of approximately 3 hours each. Equipment is provided.

Afterwards, if you find that archery isn’t for you, there will be no pressure or obligation to join the Club.

When you decide to join us after completing the course, you’ll need to pay the annual membership fee which might be reduced depending upon the time of year. We also have a new benefit for those who join after the course, in that your course fee will be discounted from your first membership fee! Conditions apply.

You’ll find Club Members are more than willing to offer advice on choosing equipment and on improving your archery skills.  Don’t be tempted to buy any archery equipment before having some lessons!!!

All equipment is provided. Once you have applied you’ll be e-mailed details of how to pay; when payment is received your place will be confirmed. We’ll try to ensure lessons are on your preferred dates but if changed you’ll be given an option of another date or a full refund.

There will be three lessons starting at 10:00 each Saturday or Sunday (please check the dates). Winter courses from October to March will be indoors on Sundays only.
