Formed in 1978 we’re not connected to Dover Castle nearby but our first practice ground was very close to it at the Duke of York’s School. Today, our outdoor shooting ground is at the beautiful Waldershare Park, about 5 miles from Dover in Kent.
We are a target archery club affiliated to the UK governing body ArcheryGB with facilities to shoot outdoors most of the year and indoors during the winter months, our members mostly shoot the recurve, compound or English longbow.
We try to be a relaxed and friendly club, catering for those who just want an absorbing hobby or for the serious minded sportsperson. Archery is a great sport for families.
Shooting is possible most days of the week outdoors. Indoors we shoot on Sunday mornings and some Thursday evenings during the winter season.
